Yes, boys, girls, parents, guardians and church family, it is that time of year again to rev up and gear up for CAMP!!!  Double check those lists: Sleeping bags, Bibles, swim wear, canteen dollars for snacks, friends, neighbors, smiles and forms, the list goes on and on!!  However, along with these exciting thoughts, know that there is a camp for you (or your child). The range is as large as the experience will be.  IF you are in the age range of ENTERING Kindergarten all the way through ENTERING 12th Grade, this CALL is for YOU!!!!

GIFTS Week - Food Needed!!

This is an update of items still needed for the GIFTS Men's Shelter (Click here for their website) next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, April 14, 15, and 16th.  We are feeding about 30 men.  

Donations of cash would also be appreciated if you don’t have time to purchase or make food. Please bring cash donations to the church office on Sabbath or before.

Food items need to be at the Milton SDB Church by 5:00 p.m. on the evening they are served.

April 2014

 During the weekend of April 4-6, Collision Student Ministries will be hosting a spring youth retreat at Camp Wakonda. The theme for the weekend is "Be Hungry:: Be Filled" and we will be focusing on two different aspects of "being hungry."

First, as we look at physical hunger we will be participating in the 30-Hour Famine, which supports the missions of World Vision. The students attending the retreat will be taking part in a "juice fast" throughout the weekend.  Students will eat their regular lunch on Friday and then will go without food (only regular juice and water breaks) until Saturday evening when we will break our fast together with a meal.

Syrian Refugees in Lebanon

We have all heard about the crisis in Syria with the civil war that is going on there.  Literally millions of Syrians have been displaced by this war into the surrounding countries of Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Turkey.  There is a tremendous need for food and shelter and protection. It is also a tremendous opportunity to show the love and truth of Christ to these mainly muslim refugees.  Our church has begun a partnership with Pastor Gabe Bejani and the ministry of I-Hope to help provide for the needs of refugees in Lebanon.  Pastor Gabe, who is originally from Lebanon and lives in California, recently returned from Lebanon.  Follow the link below to the SDB Missionary Society page to find out more about what God is doing there.

Welcome Judson University Choir!

By God’s grace, the Judson University Choir has enjoyed a long and fruitful ministry.  Founded by Dr. Edward Thompson (universally known and loved as “Dr. Ed”) during the very first year of Judson’s existence, 1963-1964, the Choir has served as one the primary “faces” of the University for over 50 years, playing an especially crucial role in attracting new students to the campus in the early days of Judson College.  National and international touring soon became a hallmark of the Judson Choir
