Seventh Day Baptist Churches
Our local church heritage is rooted in the faith of those who lived by their understanding of the Bible in spite of the many challenges which those convictions brought. The first Seventh Day Baptist church in the U.S. was formed in 1671 by baptists who became convinced that the Sabbath of the Bible, the seventh day of the week, was to be observed by Christ-followers. From the first SDB churches in England established in the 17th century, Seventh Day Baptists have spread across the U.S. and around the world.
